"AUMAAN" is a collaboration between the "Kojima Productions" network of fansites, including Zone of the Enders: The Unofficial Site, dedicated to the purpose of preserving the network's most relevant data as well as providing various forms of downloadable media.
A subsite of ZOE:TUS, AUMAAN focuses on the unofficial Kojima Productions fansites that may no longer be around (or under new management) such as MGS:TUS, MGS2:TUS, and KPN, as well as ZOE-related and other Kojima-game-related downloadable content.
The site is divided into two main sections, called "forms", in which all content is featured:
FORM 1 |
AUMAAN Data Archive |
|
A "blast from the past" museum-type area containing archived versions of classic fansites and concept designs of later versions of them. |
|
FORM 2 |
AUMAAN Resource Center |
|
The main downloads area featuring a selection of music, sound effects, and high-resolution logos and artwork in PSD or PNG format. |

Originally, back in 2004, AUMAAN was a media site
focused on covering every video game or other work that Hideo Kojima created or otherwise contributed to. In addition to that, it was also very popular for its downloads area, which featured a selection of METAL GEAR SOLID soundtracks. This made AUMAAN one of the go-to sites for finding METAL GEAR music.
The "ZOE:TUS Complete" project which was announced on the 5th anniversary of ZOE:TUS is essentially the idea of gearing ZOE:TUS towards the ZOE site it was envisioned to be -- to make available everything relevant to the subject of ZONE OF THE ENDERS.
Significant parts of the site that felt unfinished such as the data section are expanded on (mostly with things ZOE:TUS should have had in the first place). ZOE:TUS Complete is ZOE:TUS supplemented with AUMAAN, with the ambitious idea of futureproofing it. Wait, is that even possible?
Content you would find upon browsing AUMAAN are primarily ZOE and METAL GEAR resources such as high-resolution logos for Kojima titles, high-resolution source files for mechs and characters, archived versions of the original AUMAAN and MGS:TUS, concept work for the aformentioned sites, various sound effects from METAL GEAR SOLID and ZONE OF THE ENDERS, as well as any miscellaneous downloads that somehow find their way onto AUMAAN.
It just ... may take a little while.
Check back if you remember!
