Life is full of surprises, I was born in Military Hospital in Managua during the second year of the Sandinista Regime, as I grew up, I had to gradually accept the reality of living in a Post-War Environment.
I wasn't to fond of the situation, I enjoyed nothing from seeing things normal people should not be subjected to as my father (a former member of the Nic. Armed Forces) drove me around the country.
So I started to get interested into other things like music, cartoons, videogames, movies and comics to keep myself busy from dwelling to much on it. This eventually became the reason why I am so critical about media, I don't simply enjoy a regular action film or horror flick (let alone a flawed videogame) because it looks quirky, seeing how I always awaited as a kid the next quality installment.
So that eventually led me to play MGS, VJ, Zelda, Super Metroid, looking for an actual challenge and upgrades in software technology. Somehow I think this generation has been slightly lenient in terms of challenge, many AAA titles did not truly have the difficulty necessary to make it work.
Eventually governmental changes brought themselves and there was an unsteady build up of peace. |
